      Liv Alterhaug Ames died September 3, 2020, in her home in San Jose, CA at the age of 72 after a 9 month battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Larry Ames, and 3 sons Lewis, Logan, and Leif. Liv loved nature, exploring - especially by bicycle, and photography. She volunteered extensively for many environmental organizations and inspired many to get involved.
