Dr. Jerry was among the first appointees to City of San José's Arts Commission, and a co-founder of the Contemporary Asian Theatre Scene (CATS). He spent his life passionately involved in bringing diversity to organizations at the local and state levels, with a particular interest in promoting the work and growth of Asian artists. At the time of his passing, he and his wife Lucia Cha were serving as trustees on the board of San Jose Museum of Art. Dr. Jerry’s memory is cherished by his wife Lucia Cha, mother Dorothy, sister Barbara Hiura, and also leaves behind step children, their spouses and grandchildren. | | |
