He served honorably in the South Vietnamese Air Force from 1968 to 1975 before immigrating to the United States, where he built a respected engineering career and retired after over two decades of service. Beyond his professional life, he made meaningful contributions to Vietnamese arts and culture as Chairman of Van Tho Lac Viet and through his work with Y Dan, Doi Moi, and various media outlets.
