Actions Related to the Grant Funding Received from the U.S. Department of Justice.
...Recommendations
(a) Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement for grant awards received from the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $2,571,825.
(b) Adopt the following Appropriation Ordinance and Funding Sources Resolution amendments in the General Fund:
(1) Increase the estimate for Revenue from Federal Government by $2,571,825;
(2) Establish a OVW Improving Criminal Justice Response Program City-wide appropriation to the Police Department in the amount of $810,272;
(3) Establish a NCS-X Implementation Program City-wide appropriation to the Police Department in the amount of $168,156;
(4) Establish a Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program City-wide appropriation to the Police Department in the amount of $750,000;
(5) Establish an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force - Forensic Analyst Capacity Hiring Program City-wide appropriation to the Police Department in the amount of $200,000;
(6) Establish a Bulletproof Vest Partnership City-wide appropriation to the Police Department in the amount of $193,704; and
(7) Increase the City-wide Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Invited Awards appropriation in the amount of $449,693.
