Approve the following change to the Smart Cities and Service Improvements Committee Work Plan:
1) Add the following item to the Smart Cities and Service Improvements Committee (SCSI) Work Plan for June 7, 2018:
LED Streetlights Conversion Update (Transportation/City Manager)
Purpose: Provide an update, inclusive of staff recommendations, on the options for LED streetlight conversion, including associated costs, funding models, and pros and cons of each option. Also included is a recommended approach to incorporate small cell installations and Internet of Things technology. Discussion and feedback to staff.
2) Drop the following items from the SCSI Committee Work Plan for June 7, 2018:
AnyCOMM Pilot (City Manager)
Purpose: Provide an update on the AnyCOMM pilot implementation including scope, approach, major milestones, status, challenges, and next steps. Discussion and feedback to staff.
Policy Demonstration 2.0 (City Manager)
Purpose: Refresh the City’s Demonstration Policy to reflect the 8 years of learning from multiple demonstration projects and make it easier for companies to work with the City.
