As recommended by the Rules and Open Government Committee on October 4, 2017:
(a) Approve the following community events sponsored by Council District 7 as City Council sponsored Special Events to expend City funds and accept donations of materials and services for the event.
(1) Clean Up with Tam on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Kennedy Elementary School;
(2) Alma Neighborhood Halloween Family Night on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Alma Youth Center;
(3) Varoween Haunted House on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Vietnamese American Community Center;
(4) Halloween Festival on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Tully Library;
(5) Santee Halloween Family Night on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at FMCI Building;
(6) Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Seven Trees Community Center;
(7) Rock the Block Party on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Vieira Park;
(8) District 7 Neighborhood Leaders Appreciation Reception on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Tully Library Community Room; and
(9) Traffic Safety Townhall Meeting on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Franklin McKinley School District;
(b) Approve and accept donations from various individuals, businesses or community groups to support these events.
