(a) Authorize travel by Mayor Liccardo to Washington, District of Columbia, USA on September 26 and 27, 2017 as an official representative of the City of San José for the re-scheduled 2017 Silicon Valley Leadership Group Washington, D.C. Advocacy Trip. Source of Funds: Mayor/Council Travel Budget.
(b) Authorize an excused absence for Mayor Liccardo from the following meetings due to Authorized City Business:
(1) September 26, 2017 afternoon and evening meetings of the San José City Council.
(2) September 27, 2017 meeting of the Rules and Open Government Committee and Committee of the Whole.
