San José Clean Energy Programs Roadmap Status Report.
...Recommendations
(a) As recommended by the Transportation and Environment Committee on March 3, 2025, accept a status report on the San José Clean Energy Programs Roadmap.
(b) Adopt a resolution:
(1) Approving the proposed programs presented in the San José Clean Energy Programs Roadmap update;
(2) Authorizing the City Manager or her designee to negotiate and execute contract(s) with consultant(s) to implement the Electric Vehicle Concierge and Home Electrification Concierge services for up to eight years starting in Fiscal Year 2025-2026 and up to $5.2 million from the San José Clean Energy Operating Fund (funding for subsequent years will be subject to the appropriation of funds);
(3) Authorizing the City Manager or her designee to negotiate and execute a contract with a consultant to implement the Residential Electric Vehicle Incentive program for up to four years starting in Fiscal Year 2025-2026 and up to $4 million from the San José Clean Energy Operating Fund (funding for subsequent years will be subject to the appropriation of funds); and
(4) Authorizing the City Manager or her designee to negotiate and execute contract(s) with community-based organizations and consultants to implement the EV and Heat Pump Education programs for up to five years starting in Fiscal Year 2025-2026 and up to $1.25 million from the San José Clean Energy Operating Fund (funding for subsequent years will be subject to the appropriation of funds).
CEQA: (a) Not a Project, File No. PP17-009, Staff Reports, Assessments, Annual Reports, and Informational Memos that involve no approvals of any City action. (b) Not a Project, File No. PP17-004, Government Funding Mechanism or Fiscal Activity with no commitment to a specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
