(a) Adopt a resolution authorizing “Free Use” for a Memorial Observance in the Rotunda to recognize Ly Van Tong’s advocacy for the Vietnamese-American community in San José and throughout the United States, for promoting citizen engagement by naturalized citizens from Vietnam, and for his activism on behalf of Human Rights throughout the world, hosted by the Vietnamese Voluntary Foundation, Inc. (VIVO) and the Council District 10 office.
(b) Approve and accept donations from various individuals, businesses, or community groups to support the event.
