...Recommendations

(a) Adopt a resolution certifying the Westgate West Costco Warehouse Project Environmental Impact Report, make certain findings concerning mitigation measures and alternatives, and adopt a Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program, in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), as amended.

(b) Adopt a resolution approving, subject to conditions, Conditional Use Permit to allow the demolition of three single-story buildings within an existing shopping center totaling approximately 188,265 square feet, the removal of 115 trees (73 ordinance-size, 42 non-ordinance-size, 198 replacement) for the construction of an approximately 165,148-square foot commercial retail building (Costco), off-sale alcohol (Type 21 ABC License) with a Determination of Public Convenience or Necessity, and extended construction hours (Saturdays 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) with up to five 24-hour concrete pours on an approximately 19.80-gross acre site.
