Grant Agreement with Abode Services to Maintain and Operate the Plaza Hotel for Homeless Individuals Who Are Vulnerable to COVID-19.
...Recommendations
(a) Adopt a resolution:
(1) Authorizing the Director of Housing to negotiate and execute a grant agreement with Abode Services in the amount of $519,485 to operate and maintain a non-congregate shelter for homeless individuals who are vulnerable to COVID-19 at the Plaza Hotel with an initial term of January 1, 2021 through June 30, 2021; and
(2) Authorizing the Director of Housing to negotiate and execute amendments to the lease agreement with Allied Housing Inc. to align with the terms of the new Plaza operating agreement.
(b) Adopt the following Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Appropriation Ordinance Amendments in the Housing Trust Fund:
(1) Decrease the Unrestricted Ending Fund Balance appropriation by $129,871; and
(2) Increase the appropriation to the Housing Department for Housing and Homeless Projects by $129,871.
