2026 General Election Statewide Ballot Measures.

Adopt a resolution taking the following positions on statewide ballot measures that are qualified for the California general election on November 3, 2026, and authorize the City Manager’s Office of Administration, Policy, and Intergovernmental Relations to issue letters of support or opposition in accordance with City Council direction.
(a) Proposition 37: Creates Loan Program for Middle-Income Buyers of Qualified New Homes. Initiative Statute - SUPPORT
(b) Proposition 39 - Prohibits Citizens From Voting Unless They Present Government-Issued Identification. Initiative Constitutional Amendment - OPPOSE
(c) Proposition 43: Limits Voters’ Ability to Raise Revenues for Local Government Services. Legislative Constitutional Amendment. - Assembly Constitutional Amendment - OPPOSE
(d) Proposition 45 - Modifies Environmental Review for Certain Projects. Initiative Statute - SUPPORT IN CONCEPT
