Amendment to the 2021 State Homeland Security Grant Equipment Funding to the San José Police Department.
...Recommendations
(a) Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager or her designee to negotiate and execute an amendment to the Agreement between the County of Santa Clara and the City of San José for State Homeland Security Grant Program to increase the maximum amount payable from $387,898 to $422,898 and to increase the San José Police Department’s equipment allocation in the amount of $35,000; and authorize the City Manager or her designee to negotiate and execute any further amendments, and all related documents, including online certifications and reimbursement requests, without further City Council actions.
(b) Adopt the following 2023-2024 Appropriation Ordinance and Funding Sources Resolution Amendments in the General Fund:
(1) Increase the State Homeland Security 2021 City-Wide expenses appropriation for the Police Department by $35,000; and
(2) Increase the estimate for revenue from federal government by $35,000.
