...Title

Order To Produce All Records In Compliance With Public Records Act Request Within 90 Days. - WITHDRAWN

...Recommendation

1. The City’s Public Information Office to produce (a) all primary reports for each one of the 86 files within 30 days, and (b) all relevant and responsive records-including video and audiotapes--to this Public Records Act request within 90 days. After reviewing the primary reports, if requesters agree that there is no need to produce additional records, those records can be deemed produced.

2. The Public Information Office to inquire of the Office of the District Attorney whether it might compensate that office to assist in providing additional records-producing resources and staff to accelerate this process, if necessary, including simply copying the case files that may have already been produced by that office in criminal matters.

3. The Public Information Office to describe to Council at the next regularly-scheduled Council meeting what progress has been made to comply with Council’s June direction to release video footage of specified controversial incidents of police interaction with protesters over the prior month, and to provide a clear timeline for the public release of that video footage.
