Retroactive Approval of Community Events Sponsored by Council District 7 as a City Council Sponsored Special Event to Expend City Funds and Accept Donations of Materials and Services for the Event.

...Recommendations

As recommended by the Rules and Open Government Committee on January 3, 2018:

1) Retroactively approve the following District 7 events as a City Council sponsored special events and approve the expenditure of funds:

a. Santee Neighborhood Association Gift Give Away with Santa scheduled on December 18, 2017 at the Franklin McKinley Children's Initiative;

b. Alma Neighborhood Association Family Tree Gift Give Away scheduled on December 18, 2017 at the Alma Community Center;

c. Valley Palms Neighborhood Association Christmas Celebration scheduled on December 20, 2017 at the Paseo Center Community Room; and

2) Approve and accept donations from various individuals, businesses, or community groups to support the event.
