Actions Related to the Agreement with the City and County of San Francisco for Reallocation of 2016 Urban Areas Security Initiative Grant Funds.

(a) Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a First Amendment to the Agreement between the City of San José and the City and County of San Francisco, acting as fiscal agent for the Bay Area Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI), to accept the 2016 UASI grant reallocated additional funding in the amount of $196,225, to extend the term of the Agreement from February 28, 2018 to July 31, 2018, and to execute related documents without further City Council action.
(b) Adopt the following Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Appropriation Ordinance and Funding Sources Resolution Amendments in the General Fund:
(1) Increase the City-Wide Expenses appropriation to the City Manager’s Office for the Urban Areas Security Initiative Grant - Fire 2016 by the amount of $196,225; and
(2) Increase the estimate for Revenue from the Federal Government by $196,225.
